Owner and Head Personal Trainer
Born September 12th, 1985 and raised in the low income homes (projects) of the South East side of Chicago, Illinois, struggling with gang infestation and the daily violence the environment provided, something a young man can easily become a product of. I was shortly a product of my environment until I realized I had a brighter future ahead of me. I was very strong academically, ambitious, an impeccable positive attitude towards life and success even through all the hard times. I thank God for the family I have, they are the rock of my life and encouraged me to continue on in life with a good head on my shoulders. They always tested my wit to make sure I was on top of my game which transitioned to many successful events in my life.
I graduated from Steinmetz High School in 2003. Played varsity football for 3 years - All Conference Linebacker and Running Back, Team Captain, twice Team MVP and Team Offensive Player of the Year. Track and Field for 3 years - 55, 100 and 200 meter sprinter, 4x100 & 200 meter relays. Wrestled (Heavyweight class) for 1 year - Team Co-MVP. Basketball (my first love for a sport) - I played 1 year in High School, but there is nothing like Chicago Street Ball!!
I graduated from Carthage College in 2007 with degrees in Business Administration and Marketing. I played varsity football all 4 years and started my junior and senior year. I was one of the team Captains as a sophomore and helped lead the RedMen to a 2004-2005 Conference Championship! I played the tail back position for 3 years and my 4th year I transferred over to the Dark Side, Defensive End!
I played Semi-Professional football for the Antioch Sting in 2012 - Full Back, Tail Back, Receiver, Defensive End and Team Captain. I also tried out for a Semi-Professional Rugby team called the Chicago Griffins as a Forward and/or Wing in 2010.
Now, I am a trainer having received the following qualifications and certifications: Personal Trainer, Group Trainer, Speed, Agility, Strength & Conditiong, Russian Kettlebell, Insanity, Coach and more. I am always working on improving myself to help you become a better you.
I was once 275lbs in 2011 until I decided that being bigger was just not for me, lol! Through ALL the hard work, being nutritiously sound and grinding through my tough training, while keeping a positive mindset throughout the whole process, I am now 220lbs and less than 10% body fat. Sometimes results didn't happen as fast as I wanted, but I knew it would come if I kept working hard, and it did! During that process, I was changing for the good and it also contributed towards my professional life as a successful Trainer these last 4 years.
Now I participate in Tough Mudders, Gladiator Assault Challenges, 5k-10k runs and I am game for any obstacle course challenge, including half Iron Man's, which I have yet to conquer, but stay in tuned, it won't be long before I do!
I have an obvious passion for sports, fitness, training, positivity, hard work and people!! Though all the trials and tribulations in my life have been good, bad and great, I have accumulated the life experiences, knowledge and tools to help the next person become a better them.
